I had to exercise some serious restraint when putting together this round-up of my favourite Street Style looks from New York Fashion Week so far, because there were literally SO MANY to choose from and, if I’d included them all, you’d still be scrolling through them all several hours later. Instead, to save you time, I’ve included the ones that I fell seriously head over heels in love with. Or rather, should I say, head-over-thigh-high-booted-heels for as the thigh-high boot seemed to be on the trotter of many a lady at New York Fashion Week. My favourite way that I saw them worn, was dressed down and worn with a loose plain white Tee and baggy denim shorts, to create a look that’s as far removed from the atypical Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman stereotype as you can get, which is a very good thing in my book!
Another micro-trend that was on everyone’s lips, quite literally, was a slick of neon-bright orange lipstick spotted on the models at the Rag & Bone, Prabal Gurung and Creatures of the Wind shows. I’m a big fan of a neon lip, and have been an avid user of MAC’s Morange for many a year now, so this is a trend I’ll definitely be looking to replicate. The thigh high boots however will have to go on the wishlist for now! Along with a pair of loose leather trousers, white dungarees, THAT Kenzo jumper, a cropped white shirt, finger armour …. I’ll stop now before I get carried away shall I?!Image taken by Adam Katz Sinding for W Magazine Image taken by Adam Katz Sinding for W Magazine Image taken by Steve Eichner Image taken by Kyle Ericksen Image taken by Diego Zuko for Harpers Bazaar Image taken by Diego Zuko for Harpers Bazaar Image taken by Diego Zuko for Harpers Bazaar
